California, MD – At their Thursday, October 20 meeting, the St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission (MetCom) board voted to replace attorney Jackie Meiser.
Board member John Carey made the motion to change the attorney position from a employee position to an outside contractor. With a favorable vote of 5 to 1. Steven Willing being the only board member against the contract position.
Christopher Beavers will be Jackie Meiser’s replacement. They are hoping he will be available to start Monday Oct. 24.
