Millersville Woman Charged With Drug And Firearm Offenses Following Month-Long Narcotics Investigation

MILLERSVILLE, Md. – A month-long investigation by detectives with the Anne Arundel County Police Department Northern District Narcotics Team led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Millersville woman on drug and weapon charges.

Detectives initiated the investigation in January 2024, receiving information about potential drug distribution. The suspect, Brittany Nicole Shelley, was identified and located away from her residence on Feb. 8, 2024.

Following her location, police executed a search warrant at Shelley’s residence in the 200 block of Chalet Circle West in Millersville. The search yielded 41 suspected Oxycodone pills, roughly 25 grams of suspected cocaine, a digital scale with suspected controlled dangerous substance (CDS) residue, three handguns, one extended magazine, several other magazines, ammunition, a mobile phone, and $2,299 in U.S. currency.

Shelley was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (not cannabis) on two counts, possession with intent to distribute narcotics on two counts, three counts of firearm/drug trafficking crime, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and distribution of controlled dangerous substances with a firearm.

Shelley is currently being held without bond.
