Minibike Crash In Lusby Leaves 57-Year-Old Injured, Medevac Requested

LUSBY, Md. — Emergency crews responded Tuesday evening to a reported crash involving a minibike rider in the Chesapeake Ranch Estates community, resulting in injuries and a request for a medical helicopter.

The incident was reported at approximately 6:48 p.m. on March 31, 2026, in the 12400 block of Hisperia Road.

Responders located a 57-year-old man who had reportedly been riding the minibike when he went down while traveling downhill. The rider sustained an apparent leg injury, with indications the injury may have affected a previously injured area.

Emergency medical personnel evaluated the man on scene. Due to the nature of the injuries, a medevac helicopter was requested to transport the patient for further treatment.
