WHITE PLAINS, Md. — A mother and her 7-month-old daughter were taken to the hospital Monday afternoon following a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle in White Plains.

The collision was reported around 12:40 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2026, near Crain Highway and Demarr Road.

Initial dispatch information indicated the driver of a tractor-trailer reported rear-ending a Honda Civic.

Crews were advised that a woman was complaining of neck and back pain and that a child was inside the vehicle. Later information identified the patients as a 32-year-old woman and her 7-month-old daughter.

Both were transported by ambulance to UM Charles Regional Medical Center.

The woman’s injuries were described as non-life-threatening. No serious injuries were reported for the infant.

The crash remains under investigation.
