DUNKIRK, Md. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a crash Saturday evening in Dunkirk.
The incident was reported around 5:08 p.m. on April 11, 2026, on northbound Southern Maryland Boulevard at the ramp to West Chesapeake Beach Road.
Emergency crews responded for a reported motorcycle crash involving a single rider. The motorcyclist reportedly struck a guardrail and was thrown from the bike into a wooded area off the roadway.
Due to the severity of the injuries, a medical helicopter was requested. The patient was transported from the scene by medevac to an area trauma center for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
