Motorcyclist Flown To Trauma Center After Head-On Collision With Van In Lexington Park

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A motorcyclist was flown to a trauma center Tuesday afternoon after a head-on collision with a van in Lexington Park.

The crash occurred around 3:19 p.m. on July 15, 2025, in the 21600 block of Great Mills Road. First responders arrived to find an adult male motorcyclist lying in the roadway with serious injuries.

Firefighters established a landing zone in the parking lot of Lexington Park Elementary School, where Maryland State Police Trooper 7 helicopter landed to transport the patient.

He was airlifted to the UM Capital Region Medical Center.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
