Update from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office:
Deputies responded to St. Jerome’s Neck Road for a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Preliminary investigation indicates the driver, identified as James R. Sanders, age 38, failed to negotiate a turn and left the roadway. He was flown to Prince Georges Shock Trauma with non life-threatening injuries.

Dameron, MD — St. Mary’s County emergency responders were dispatched around 3 p.m. Monday, April 13 to a motorcycle accident on St. Jerome’s Neck Road at Shea Alley Lane. The motorcycle has reportedly hit a tree. The cyclist sustained injuries. A Maryland State Police helicopter flew the injured biker to a Washington, DC area hospital.
