Avenue, MD — The rain and wind roared in Saturday afternoon just as the Price of Freedom Music Festโ€™s second day was about to commence. But that didnโ€™t deter the organizers from letting the show go on, even if it was at a different venue.

Two of the bands scheduled to perform Saturday, Drivinโ€™ Muzzy and No Green Jelly Beenz, performed Sunday instead at Fitzies in Compton. And according to the music festโ€™s Facebook page plans are underway to have a makeup concert for those who missed that.

The first night of the Price of Freedom Music Fest went off without a hitch Friday, June 26 at the Seventh District Optimist Club Field in Avenue. Performing were the popular Piranhas, Franklin Square and Sara Gray.

Proceeds for the event this year went to St. Maryโ€™s County Special Olympics.
