PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Calvert County residents will soon have another option for waste disposal as Bub’s Disposal Services LLC prepares to launch in the county.

Bub’s Disposal’s Facebook page says they’re specifically planning to serve Southern Calvert, with their service area ranging from St. Leonard to Solomons, from the Sixes Road/Route 4 intersection south.

This family-owned business has been gearing up for launch all summer, even crowdsourcing votes for a fun name for their customers and followers, settling on Bub’s Nation.

Anyone in their service region who is interested in learning more can fill out an interest form, and Bub’s will contact them to set up service or to provide more information. The business originally hoped to begin operations in the second week of July but is currently waiting on bin delivery for their customers before they can begin service.

According to the latest update, Bub’s plans to deliver customer bins Monday, July 20, or Tuesday, July 21. The first pickup day will be Friday, July 24, and customers will receive both the July 24 and July 31 pickups at a prorated July rate before regular billing begins.

Bub’s is also giving customers the option to begin their service in August. If customers prefer this option, the company will deliver the bins on July 31.

Bub’s joins other local and regional waste disposal services that operate in Calvert, including Thompson’s Trash, Evergreen Disposal, Republic Services, and Amber’s Disposal. To learn more about Bub’s and how to book services, interested customers can call 443-909-8565 or reach out to Bub’s Disposal on Facebook.
