Night To Shine Charles County Offers Free Prom Attire This Weekend Ahead Of 2026 Event

WALDORF, Md.Night to Shine Charles Countyis kicking off its 2026 prom season with the opening of a free prom boutique this weekend, offering formalwear at no cost for individuals planning to attend this year’s prom on Feb. 13, 2026, at the Waldorf Jaycees.

Night to Shine is a worldwide prom experience, founded by the Tim Tebow Foundation, and designed for individuals with special needs ages 14 and older. The event is part of a global movement held simultaneously in hundreds of locations across the world, with a focus on creating a memorable and joy-filled prom night—complete with formal attire, dinner, dancing and red carpet treatment.

The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2026, at the Waldorf Jaycees, hosted by First Baptist Church of Waldorf in partnership with the Waldorf Jaycees.

Ahead of the prom, Night to Shine Charles County will host a free prom boutique, offering formalwear at no cost to individuals planning to attend. The boutique will be open Friday, Jan. 9, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Waldorf, 10045 Bunker Hill Road.

Organizers said the boutique will feature dresses, suits, shoes, jewelry and accessories, allowing guests to select attire that helps them feel confident and prepared for prom night. No payment or registration is required.

Volunteer registration is also open for those interested in supporting the 2026 Night to Shine Prom. Volunteers must be 16 or older on the day of the event and can choose from a variety of roles supporting guests, families and event operations throughout the evening.

Volunteer opportunities include serving as a buddy paired with a guest, welcoming guests at check-in, assisting on the red carpet, coordinating transportation, preparing flowers, managing coat check, directing parking, supporting parents and caregivers in the respite room, coordinating takeaway gifts, and assisting with event teardown.
