College Park, MD – A driver is being credited with leading 20 children to safety after the school bus they were traveling in caught fire. The incident occurred Monday, Sept. 12 in College Park.
The fire was captured on video.
According to a spokesman for the Prince George’s County Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the children were from Glen Arden Woods Elementary School.
The fire remains under investigation. Authorities have not released the name of the bus driver, however on social media parents of the children who were aboard the bus have identified her as Reneita Smith.
