On Jan. 22, at 12:35 a.m., Trooper First Class Dawson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 260, east of Route 2 in Owings. 

An odor of marijuana was detected and a search revealed that the driver, Daryl J. Peters, 18 of Dunkirk, and Andre J. Creek, 18 of Owings, were both in possession of marijuana. 

Both were arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
