On Jan. 27, Deputy R Nielson conducted a traffic stop at Route 235 and Valley Drive in Lexington Park, the vehicle had an inoperative headlight. Deputy Nielson contacted the driver, Brandon Cainian Zeigler, 28 of California.
During the course of the traffic stop the Zeigler gave consent to search his vehicle. The consent search was conducted and a bottle containing Gabapetmin (generic for Neurontin), a prescription drug, was located in the middle console of the vehicle. The name on the prescription bottle had been scratched off. Further investigation revealed the prescription did not belong to Ziegler and Ziegler had attempted to distribute the drug to another individual.
Brandon Zeigler was arrested and charged with removing a required prescription label, possession of a prescription drug with a removed label and possession with intent to distribute a prescription drug.
