On Sept. 26 at 8:19 p.m., B. Craig Churchill, 55 of Waldorf, was making a right turn from Old Washington Road onto Substation Road in Waldorf when he failed to stay in his traffic lane, crossed the center line and struck a Sheriff’s Office car, disabling it.
Churchill was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The officer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a non life-threatening injury.
