On June 19 at 5:12 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s Officer J. Timko of the Community Policing Unit was conducting a bicycle patrol of Meadow Lane in Waldorf when he observed a parked sport-utility vehicle occupied by two males and a female.
When he approached the vehicle, he smelled marijuana. His investigation revealed the female, Vicki Justina Almendarez, 18 of Takoma Park, was in possession of marijuana with a street value of about $50. He arrested Almendarez and charged her with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
She was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
