LA PLATA, Md. – On December 11, 2024, at approximately 8:55 a.m., LPPD officers responded to a medical office in the 6600 block of Crain Highway for the report of a burglary that just occurred.
A description of the individual was provided by witnesses who located the man inside of the office when opening for the day. Officers located the individual a short time later in the 6400 block of Crain Highway.
The individual was arrested without incident and transported to the Charles County Detention Center.
At scene investigation revealed that during the burglary the arrestee vandalized the medical office by breaking numerous windows. The arrestee is identified as Serlin Rodney Starks, 27-years of age, of no fixed address. Starks was also found to be wanted in Virginia.
