ย At 3:15 p.m. Saturday, a trail of cars smashed together on Chancellorโ€™s Run Road in a quadruple rear-ender that injured at least one person.

ย When volunteer firefighters and rescue squad personnel arrived all of the occupants were already out of the vehicles. Minutes later, medical personnel made the decision on the scene to dispatch a Maryland State Police helicopter for a 26-year-old male.

ย Firefighters were concerned a small gas leak from the pickup truck could be ignited when the vehicles were moved, and applied a thick layer of foam before attempting to separate the vehicles.

ย A puppy sprang from one of the vehicles when the door was opened. After a run, the pup was caught by a deputy and returned to its owner.

ย Both travel directions of Chancellorโ€™s Run Road in California were closed for more than an hour.
