HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — One person was recently taken to the hospital after being involved in a serious motor vehicle crash in Calvert County.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. on November 6, first responders were called to the scene of a serious “head-on” accident with reports of a single occupant trapped.

Upon arrival, crews confirmed that one patient was trapped inside the vehicle, and they would immediately work to extricate the individual.

With help from units from the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department, the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department would work to make the extrication by removing the vehicle’s doors and roof.

The patient would be transported soon after to a local hospital for additional medical treatment. Chief 6 and Safety Officer 6 assisted with command.
