CHAPTICO, Md. — Emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Budds Creek Road near Woodmark Court early on the morning of March 7, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:49 a.m. Crews arrived to find an SUV off the roadway with one occupant injured. The patient was evaluated on the scene and subsequently transported by ambulance to UM Capital Region Trauma Center for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Drug addicts are just flying down these roads. Just kidding- this was my wife’s first accident in her life and she’s ok. Big thanks to St Mary’s Sheriffs Office and Mr Lawrence Swann who stopped and helped my wife while she waited for the ambulance; it was very kind of him.
I’m so glad she is ok. I see her everyday at the post office and love her to pieces. Take good care of her and tell her to rest. ❤
