Dunkirk, MD โ€“ On Tuesday, Oct. 10 at approximately 1:29 p.m., crews were dispatched to Route 4 and Town Center Boulevard for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. According to Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Riffe, crews arrived to find a three-vehicle, T-bone-style crash with one driver trapped.

Two other people were injured. Riffe stated the trapped driver was freed by responders in seven minutes. The seriously injured motorist was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to a regional trauma center.

No names have been released and a police report on the crash is pending.
