GREAT MILLS, Md. – An overnight fire destroyed several commercial trucks and a in Great Mills on January 14.
Just prior to 2:00 a.m., crews responded to 20400 block of Point Lookout Road, Great Mills for the report of a vehicle fire called in by a neighbor. Upon arrival, units discovered three Peterbilt dump trucks and 2002 Gradall machine involved in fire. Within 20 minutes, crews had control of the fire and the Office of the State Fire Marshal was requested to investigate.
Fire authorities estimate the cost of damage to be $340,000. The APF Construction Company owned all of the property involved in the incident.
The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation. Anyone with information in regards to the fire is asked to call the Office of the State Fire Marshal, Southern Region at 443-550-6832
