On Sunday, January 23, 2011, at approximately 3 p.m., the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad responded to a reported overturned vehicle on Emmanuel Church Road.
Rescue crews arrived on the scene to discover a black two door sedan on its roof with two people inside the vehicle. One patient was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital and the other was flown to Prince George’s Shock Trauma.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
