The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) has made a $30,000 donation to St. Maryโs County Public Schools for their Summer Space Camp. The check was presented to School Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano on Wednesday by Patuxent Partnership Executive Director Bonnie Green and their boardโs Treasurer Michael Dugan.
The check was presented during the Board of Educationโs regular meeting. The board in turn honored the Patuxent Partnership with a certificate of appreciation.
A regular donation for STEM-related programs has been made yearly by TPP over the past few years. According to information presented to the board by Acting Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Scott Smith, this yearโs donation will be used “to support and enhance our summer programs. This program is open to students in grades 2-11 allowing a week-long experience for each set of learners in STEM activities such as rocketry and robotics.โ
