HUGHESVILLE, Md. — A person reportedly jumped out of a moving vehicle Thursday morning following an argument, prompting a response from emergency services.
At approximately 9:35 a.m. on November 7, 2024, police and emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Brandywine Road and Prince Frederick Road after a 911 caller reported that a person had exited a vehicle while it was traveling at a speed of about 15-20 mph. The caller, who was driving the vehicle, explained that the incident occurred during an argument, and that the individual voluntarily jumped from the moving vehicle.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the injured person in the parking lot of Jimmy’s Corner, a nearby business. The individual was reported to have suffered an elbow injury and exhibited signs of dizziness. On-scene evaluation was conducted by EMS personnel, who then transported the patient to CalvertHealth Medical Center for further medical treatment.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident. Additional details about the individuals involved or the circumstances surrounding the dispute have not been released at this time.
