Hyattsville, MD — The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a bicyclist in Capitol Heights. The victim is 53-year-old Lorenzo Queen of 59th Avenue in Hyattsville.
On Suday, Oct. 23, at about 1:15 am, patrol officers were called to Kenilworth Avenue and John Hanson Highway for a collision involving a car and a bicycle.
The preliminary investigation revealed the car and the bicyclist were both traveling northbound on Kenilworth Avenue. For reasons which remain under investigation, the car ran into the back of the bike. The bicyclist, Queen, was pronounced dead on the scene. The car’s driver was not hurt.
