Along with numerous other new businesses like First Watch, Always Ice Cream and Foster’s Grille, Playa Bowls has a spot in Prince Frederick’s new Armory Square shopping center.

Playa Bowls is located at 413 Solomons Island Road N. They announced their plans to move into the space a year ago and were hiring for positions in November. Once they’re fully open, the Prince Frederick location will likely be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, following the hours of its other nearby stores.

The owner of the new Playa Bowls, Sarabjit Suri, wrote in an email to The BayNet that she was “very excited” to be part of the Prince Frederick business community. Playa Bowls is her first business in Calvert County, and the store will create jobs for up to 20 people.

“Calvert County is a vibrant community poised to grow, and I’m proud to invest here,” Suri said. “I love Calvert County.”

Menu items include bowls, smoothies, juice and cold brews, as well as a specialty winter menu. Guests have the option to choose a base and toppings for their bowls, creating a healthy, custom meal or snack.
