On Oct. 17, at 1 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 6900 block of Heather Drive in Bryans Road for the report of disorderly people.
As officers approached the subjects, they detected the odor of marijuana. One of the subjects fled but was apprehended a short distance away. Officers recovered a large knife in his back pocket and several bags of marijuana.
The suspect, Denzel Marcellu Edwards, 18 of Waldorf, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Officer M. O’Shields made the arrest.
