MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, just before 10:30 p.m., Troopers from the Leonardtown Barrack responded to an address off of Guy Family Way, Mechanicsville, St. Mary’s County, for a reported burglary. The suspect fled prior to police arrival and could not be located.
A few hours later, another 911 call was reported in the area of the 27000-block of Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, for a suspicious person. The person was asking for a ride to an address in Mechanicsville. Upon police arrival, the person was not on scene.
Several hours later, a third call for a suspicious person was made. Troopers located the man in a Mechanicsville convenience store parking lot. Troopers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect and charge him with 3rd & 4th degree burglary in connection with the incident on Guy Family Way. The suspect is identified as Jerry M. Weber, 53, of Mechanicsville, MD.
