LA PLATA, Md. — The Port Tobacco Players will present a community production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” from Friday, Nov. 21, through Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at the Port Tobacco Players Theater, located at 508 Charles St. in La Plata.

The family-friendly musical is a reimagining of the biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, and his eleven brothers. The production follows Joseph’s journey from being favored by his father to being sold into slavery by jealous siblings, rising to power in Egypt, and ultimately reconciling with his family.

Told entirely through song, the musical features a wide range of musical styles including country-western, calypso, bubble-gum pop, and rock and roll.
