At 12:30 p.m. Jan. 31, a vehicle traveling on Post Office Road at Barrington Drive, was stopped for the vehicle not displaying a front tag, by TFC J. Edelen of the LaPlata barrack.
The driver, Thomas Omar-Sherad Price, 28, of Temple Hills, did not have a valid driverโs license.
A computer check revealed the tag displayed on the vehicle was reported stolen, and Price was wanted through the Charles County Sheriffโs Office on an open warrant.
Price was arrested and Cpl. C. Force with the Maryland State Police K-9 Unit had her dog do a scan of the vehicle and he alerted to the driver door.
A probable cause search revealed a quantity of suspected marijuana behind the door panel.
Price was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft under $500. He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
