WALDORF, Md. — Waldorf will soon be getting even more new businesses, as construction on Waldorf Station continues and companies announce their plans to move in.

Some of the latest tenants announced by Shasho Consulting, P.A. Commercial Real Estate include Potbelly Sandwich Works, Starbucks, Honeygrow, Pollo Campero, and Inspire Nail Bar.

According to the Charles County Department of Economic Development, Waldorf Station is a 145-acre mixed-use project in Waldorf, Maryland, at the intersection of U.S. Route 301 and Maryland Route 5. This transformative project is being developed by the Greenberg Gibbons company and is planned for a mixed-use, pedestrian-friendly community in a town center environment. The development will include retail, food and beverage, entertainment, residential and office elements in a walkable configuration.

Phase one of construction is currently underway. McDonald’s and Sonic previously announced plans to move into the space.

Shops are expected to begin opening as early as spring 2026, though locals are advised to keep an eye on the new businesses page and social media for updates.

Residents expressed excitement for these new businesses online, and many added that the only restaurant the area was lacking was a good salad shop — so hopefully, those entrepreneurs and salad creators will hear the call. There’s still room for more at this growing location.
