PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A 34-year-old Prince Frederick man is being held without bond after authorities say he stabbed two family members during a violent altercation at a residence on Feb. 8, 2026.
Brandon Lloyd Milbrook, 34, of Prince Frederick, is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, and two counts of first-degree assault in connection with the incident, according to court documents.
Deputies with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 1:31 p.m. to a report of an assault involving a knife at a home on Sark Court. The caller reported an altercation involving Milbrook and family members.
When deputies arrived, they located Milbrook and took him into custody. Two adults — identified in charging documents as a male and female family members — had sustained multiple stab wounds. Both were flown by Maryland State Police Aviation to Baltimore Shock Trauma for emergency treatment.
According to the statement of probable cause, the incident followed an escalating family dispute involving mental health treatment.
During the visit, an altercation broke out inside the home. Witnesses reported seeing Milbrook holding a knife, and authorities say both victims suffered apparent stab wounds during the confrontation. Deputies observed visible injuries at the scene.
After being taken into custody, Milbrook was advised of his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with investigators. He told authorities an argument occurred during the visit and stated he was unsure whether he had stabbed the victims.
Milbrook was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for booking.
Court records show he is being held without bond following a bail review hearing on Feb. 9 before Judge Michelle R. Saunders. A competency hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18, followed by a preliminary hearing set for March 9 in Calvert District Court.
