PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – The Calvert County Department of Finance & Budget is committed to ensuring transparency and the public’s understanding of the county budget.
The department is hosting a town hall meeting to outline the budget process Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Calvert Pines Senior Center, located at 450 West Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick.
The goals of the meeting are to explain how the operating and capital budgets are developed and to seek citizen input on both as the next budget cycle begins.
Staff will also gather feedback that helps county government personnel understand and better respond to citizen’s needs. This is not a public hearing, nor is it a Calvert County Board of County Commissioners meeting, although it is endorsed by the board.
