The public is invited to participate in an interactive workshop in support of developing the Joint Land Use Study (JLUS).

The JLUS is a cooperative planning effort between Naval Air Station Patuxent River (NAS PAX) and communities in the region.ย  The objective of the study is to develop a set of recommendations that will promote well-suited compatibility growth and economic development compatible with military training and operations being conducted by NAS PAX.ย

The purpose of the second public workshop is to provide an update on the JLUS project, present the NAS PAX military mission footprint, and to obtain input from the public on prioritizing the compatibility issues, such as, land use, noise, frequency interference, aircraft safety zones, vertical obstructions, and interagency coordination.

The second set of workshops will be held throughout the region in four different locations, and each workshop will be tailored to the specific location it is being conducted in.ย
