At 5:55 pm on Sunday, January 14, TFC Linger was patrolling on Old Village Road in Mechanicsville when he observed 1986 Ford F-150 pickup truck pull into a private drive.
A routine check of the registration plate indicated the vehicle was not currently registered.
Contact was made with the driver, Joseph Ignatius Templeman, 55, of Waldorf.
A check of Mr. Templeman’s license revealed his driving privileges in Maryland were also suspended. Templeman was arrested for driving while suspended.
A search incident to arrest revealed a corn cob pipe with marijuana residue in the pipe on his person.
Mr. Templeman was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center in Leonardtown and charged with driving while suspended, possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
