The Charles County Government and University of Maryland Extension are pleased to offer a hands-on workshop on the practical uses for rain barrels and how they reduce the impact of runoff on our local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay.
The workshop will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Charles County
Government Building Parking lot (Talbot Street, La Plata).
The first workshop starts at 10:30 a.m., with the final workshop starting at 1:30 p.m.
Each workshop is for 45-60 minutes. Participants will have the opportunity to take their own rain barrel home and learn about practical uses for rain barrels and the proper technique for later installation at home to become eligible for a tax deduction.
