
CALIFORNIA, Md. — A heavy police presence is underway Wednesday evening following reports of shots fired at Myrtle Point Park in California.
The incident was reported at approximately 6:53 p.m. on April 1, 2026. 911 callers reported hearing more than 20 gunshots.
Police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to the park and are actively investigating.
As of now, no injuries have been reported.
The situation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details.
