LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Superintendent of Schools Dr. J. Scott Smith announces the administrative appointment made by the Board of Education at its meeting on Aug. 5, 2026.
The board appointed Ms. Sandra Taylor as supervisor of Title I & Family Engagement, 12-month, in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University and a master’s degree from Bowie State University. Ms. Taylor is a retired school administrator from Charles County Public Schools.
Ms. Taylor’s appointment will become effective on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026.
I have heard of her from Charles County. The board was on the news a lot.
