On Sept. 18, the St. Maryโ€™s College of Marylandโ€™s Center for the Study of Democracy hosted a lecture by retired U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson, to mark Constitution Day.

Among the topics Jackson touched on was a discussion of the U.S. Supreme Court case Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, which he says is the most important case of recent times that deals with presidential war powers.

In the three accompanying videos, Jackson discusses the background of the case, the court decisions and the significance on presidential war powers.
