LA PLATA, Md. — Looking for a part-time job? Safeway in La Plata is holding open interviews this Saturday.
The store will hold open interviews from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at 40 Shining Willow Way in La Plata.
Safeway is hiring for a number of part-time positions, with starting pay at $15 an hour.
There are opportunities throughout the store, including cashier, courtesy clerk, in-store shopper, Starbucks barista, stocker, produce, dairy, meat and bakery positions.
For local teens looking for a first job or some extra work experience, cashier and courtesy clerk positions are open to applicants ages 16 and older.
The other advertised positions are open to applicants ages 18 and older.
Whether someone prefers working with customers, helping in the bakery, stocking shelves or working behind the scenes, there are several different roles available.
The event is for part-time hiring, and interested applicants can stop by during the job fair hours for an open interview.
For students, teens and others looking to pick up part-time work in the La Plata area, Saturday’s event offers a chance to meet with the store directly and learn more about the openings available.
