La Plata, MD (June 21, 2017) – Sagepoint Senior Living Services held an official groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, June 20th, at the site of the future Sagepoint Village, a 60-bed assisted living community. The new building will be located at the intersection of Heritage Green Parkway and Washington Avenue in La Plata. The building will neighbor Sagepoint Gardens, Sagepoint’s existing 32-bed assisted living community. The new community is anticipated to be open in early 2019.

Sagepoint Senior Living Services and community partners are excited about the project and feel that it will be a wonderful addition to the community as the demand for senior services continues to increase. The building will be 54,118 SF with amenities to include: private rooms and bathrooms, fitness studio, chapel/meditation room, library, beauty salon, media room, country store, outside patios, and more!

This new assisted living community supports Sagepoint’s mission of providing excellence in aging services. According to President/CEO Bill Holman, “The Village design has drawn inspiration from the success of Sagepoint’s current small house model focusing on resident engagement and well-being.”

As a non-profit, Sagepoint strives to partner with local organizations whenever possible. We are proud to work with R.L. Litten & Associates, Architects, LLC and Dennis Anderson Construction Corporation, both located in Charles County.
