
LATHAM, N.Y. – St. Mary’s College of Maryland put up 91 student-athletes on the United East Conference Fall All-Academic Team, marking 21 more student-athletes named this year than last fall.
The United East announced the Fall All-Academic Team Feb. 4, naming 847 student-athletes from all 17 full-member institutions across six fall sports. To view the complete United East release, click here.
The top three St. Mary’s College squads representing the Seahawks with the most athletes on the United East Fall All-Academic Team were women’s soccer with a department-high 25 selections followed by field hockey in second with 18 and women’s volleyball in third with 16. The men’s (11) and women’s (7) cross country teams combined for 18 spots.
To be selected, a student-athlete competing in a fall conference-sponsored sport must achieve a grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the fall semester and must have been in good standing on his or her team.
Lancaster Bible College led the way with 95 student-athletes on the Fall All-Academic Team while Cairn University rounded out the Top 3 with 81 selections.
