Friday, September 7 – First Free Friday.
The museum is open and free to the public from 5:00 โ 8:00 p.m. Calvert Dance Band will perform on the outdoor stage starting at 6:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and a picnic supper. Docents will be in every gallery talking about the exhibits. Visit Drum Point Lighthouse and enjoy 30-minute boat rides on the Wm. B. Tennison sponsored by M&T Bank. FREE.
Saturday, September 8 – Fossil Field Experience
Do you know why Calvert County is known for its sharkโs teeth? Did you know that they can be 20 million years old? Join a museum educator and discover the clues found buried in the sand, telling tales of life long before humans walked the earth; 9:00 a.m. โ 2:00 p.m. $20 per person. Sunday, September 9 – Cruise on the Dee of St. Maryโs with Captain Jackie Russell ย Take a twoย hour cruise aboard the Dee of St. Maryโs, one of the few skipjacks built on the Western Shore, departing from the Lore Oyster House at 2:00 p.m. $20 per person.
