
HOLLYWOOD, Md. – A serious motor vehicle crash involving a snow plow was reported Monday afternoon near a busy St. Mary’s County intersection, prompting a large emergency response.
Emergency personnel were dispatched at approximately 12:02 p.m. on Jan. 26, 2026, to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Airport View Drive for a reported vehicle collision with entrapment. Upon arrival, crews found a rear-end style crash involving a tractor that was actively plowing snow and another passenger vehicle.
Rescue Squad 7 and multiple EMS units worked to remove at least one patient from the wreckage. One individual sustained serious injuries and was flown to a regional trauma center by Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 2. Additional occupants from the other vehicle were assessed by emergency medical crews at the scene and later transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment.
The roadway was partially impacted as responders worked to stabilize the scene, provide medical care, and investigate the circumstances of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
