SOMD – Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for Anne Arundel, Calvert and St. Mary’s until 6:00 PM.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1pm and 3pm, then a slight chance of showers after 3pm. Some storms could be severe, with hail and damaging winds. Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 53 by 3pm. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

This includes the cities of Annapolis, California, Chesapeake Beach, Dunkirk, Huntingtown, Lexington Park, Lusby, North Beach, and Prince Frederick.
