On December 13, 2009 the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of an assault.
As a result of the assault investigation, on January 26, 2010 Rolf David Hartmann, 49 of Mechanicsville, was arrested on an Arrest Warrant/True Bill Indictment and charged with two counts of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree sex offense, one count of third-degree sex offense, and two counts of sexual abuse to a minor.
On January 27, 2010 Rolf Hartmann was presented to the Circuit Court for a bond review at which time the court ordered Hartman’s original $25,000 District Court bond be transferred and carried over to the Circuit Court case.
On January 27, 2010 Hartmann was released from the St. Mary’s County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
