At 4:25 p.m. Aug. 30, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 6100 block of Foster Lane in Hughesville for the report of an assault.
Investigation revealed a 24-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy were arguing about driveway access when he punched her in the face, ran into his residence and returned with a shotgun.
He pointed the weapon at the woman and several passengers in her vehicle. When the victim attempted to flee in her vehicle, the accused entered his family’s vehicle, which had been blocking the driveway, and attempted to force her vehicle off the roadway.
Officers located and arrested the boy and charged him with reckless endangerment, first- and second-degree assault, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving without a license.
He was charged as a juvenile and was being held at the Cheltenham Youth Facility. Officer D. Benthin investigated.
