Single-Vehicle Crash in California Sends Driver to Hospital

CALIFORNIA, Md. — Emergency crews responded Wednesday morning to a single-vehicle crash on Three Notch Road near First Colony Boulevard after a car left the roadway and struck a tree.

The crash occurred around 9:35 a.m. on Nov. 5, 2025, on the southbound side of the highway. Responders found the silver Nissan hatchback facing northbound on the shoulder.

Officials said the driver was experiencing a medical emergency at the time of the crash. EMS personnel evaluated the patient on the scene before transporting them to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.

Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.
