A Leonardtown woman has been sentenced to 26 years in jail for her part in a brother/sister theft spree. St. Maryโ€™s County Circuit Court Judge Michael Stamm on Monday sentenced Lindsey Williams, 22, after she pled guilty to four counts of a 19-count indictment. Her brother Robert was sentenced on June 18 by Judge Stamm to a total of 40 years, including a violation of probation conviction.

The duo pled guilty in connection with thefts in 2012 and 2013 in Morgana, Avenue and Leonardtown in which firearms, cash and other items were taken and pawned in St. Maryโ€™s and Charles counties. The charges they pled to included two counts of first-degree theft and one count each of conspiracy to commit theft and a firearms possession violation.

One of the victims in the string of burglaries was the grandmother of the brother and sister team.

In sentencing Lindsey Williams, the judge authorized that she can serve her time at the Patuxent Institute, which has rehabilitation programs, although the state penal system will have to approve that.

Williams was given jail time credit for the 333 days she has been in jail.

Williams was represented at the sentencing hearing by Public Defender Kevin Hill. Assistant Stateโ€™s Attorney Daniel White represented the state.
