SMADC Welcomes Two New Hires And Celebrates One Retirement

HUGHESVILLE, Md. – The Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC) a division of the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland, has appointed Sabrina Dobbins as the Agriculture Program Coordinator and Terri Wright Gresholm as the Administrative & Grants Coordinator, marking a significant step in enhancing the organization’s mission to support Southern Maryland’s agricultural community.

Sabrina Dobbins, a native of Southern Maryland with a rich agricultural background, joins SMADC as the Agriculture Program Coordinator. Sabrina will be taking over this position, due to the retirement of Susan McQuilkin, who has occupied the position for a dedicated and illustrious twenty years.

“While we are certainly reluctant to see Susan go, as she has been an integral part of the SMADC team and mission since the beginning, we are excited for her to enjoy her well-earned retirement”, said Shelby Watson-Hampton, SMADC Director. “We are equally excited to welcome Sabrina to the team and are pleased to have Susan be able to shepherd Sabrina into the position and mentor her during Susan’s last six weeks with us. I have no doubt that Sabrina will continue Susan’s great work and legacy as the Agriculture Program Coordinator.”

Growing up in Calvert County and currently residing in Leonardtown, St. Mary’s County, Sabrina’s involvement in 4-H from a young age has fueled her passion for farming. With experience in running a successful small business focused on goat milk soap and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus, Sabrina is eager to contribute to SMADC’s initiatives.

Terri Wright Gresholm, previously an Administrative Assistant at TCCSMD Youth and Young Adult Program, has been appointed as the new Administrative and grants Coordinator. Terri will continue to leverage her administrative expertise and passion for empowering others to streamline operations and drive impactful initiatives within the organization. Her proven track record of excellence and commitment to supporting the community make her a valuable asset to SMADC.

“We are delighted to welcome both Sabrina Dobbins and Terri Wright Gresholm to the SMADC team,” said Shelby Watson-Hampton, Director. “Their diverse backgrounds and dedication to agricultural and youth development will greatly benefit our organization’s mission to support and promote Southern Maryland’s agricultural community.”
